Joshua Welz LMFTI, SEP, M.Div., M.Ed.
Therapist, Somatic Practitioner, Educator, and Coach

Joshua’s journey into health and healing began with a life-threatening illness in his youth, which sparked a deep exploration of nutrition, natural remedies, movement, and exercise. This foundation evolved through rigorous study of the mind—shaped by philosophy, theology, and education—leading him to mental health and, ultimately, somatic therapies, which form the heart of his practice.

Driven by personal experience, discipline, and a lifelong pursuit of the good, the true, and the beautiful, Joshua integrates these diverse fields to help others move beyond limitations and find meaningful paths to healing.

I spent many years in traditional psychotherapy processing trauma and my past experiences, and while I gained so much insight, working with Joshua helped me integrate that work in a way I hadn’t been able to before. Through his calm, grounded presence and incredible ability to hold space, I learned how to feel safe in my body, attune to my own internal experience, and trust myself, which made it possible for me to break patterns that I kept feeling stuck in. The impact of our work together has healed me and truly changed my life and I cannot recommend him enough!

Trauma-Informed Therapy as Both Craft and Wisdom

Every decision made is shaped by a clear sense of purpose.

Therapy without a clear direction often leads to confusion and cycling through modalities while remaining stuck in the original pain. We offer something different.

My approach reconnects you with your body, your life, and your experiences, guiding you toward health, vitality, and well-being. Together, we regulate the nervous system, build resilience, cultivate compassion, and develop the courage to face life’s challenges — not as obstacles, but as catalysts for deeper self-understanding and growth into your fullest self. We honor every feeling while actively bridging your inner and outer worlds, creating true strength through their alignment.
